The Holden Racing Team VF Commodores of James Courtney/Greg Murphy and Garth Tander/Warren Luff have finished second and third in today’s Wilson Security Sandown 500.

After managing to avoid an incident packed race early, both Luff and Murphy circulated with consistent pace and were both placed inside the top 10 before handing over to their lead drivers at half race distance.

From there, Courtney slotted into second place while teammate, Garth Tander worked his way into fourth on lap 98.

Pitting for the last time on lap 120 and 122 respectively, Courtney and Tander pushed on to be second and third on the road by lap 133.

Holding onto their track position, the factory Holden drivers claimed a well-deserved double podium in the first of three races for the PIRTEK Enduro Cup.

The Holden Racing Team’s attention now turns to preparing for the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 (9-12 October).
